As we move on to the next stage of life..
Not everyone might make it to the local universities..
And sometimes forums don't tell you exactly what goes on..
So here.. I'll share about my timeline for applying to SIM - RMIT...

Note: This is purely based on my experience & each individual might not face the same experience due to different qualification, citizenship, GPA, or any other factors affecting the enrollment procedure.

5th April
I sent in my application for RMIT Bachelor of Business (Marketing) as well as RMIT Bachelor of Business (Management). I applied for 2 courses because I have yet to make up my mind & I wanted to have at least a back up plan. Both courses are full-time programmed. For more information on the courses, do visit SIMGE's website.

Results are supposed to be out 1 month prior to commencement date. In my case, commencement date was 4th July (Semester 2).

10th June
I receive an email asking me to go to SIM for enrollment briefing session & orientation the following week (14th June to be exact).
*Note: This is not an offer letter!

14th June
I went to SIM for the enrollment briefing & was told that the offer letter would be sent via email to me by latest Friday (17th June). During the briefing they will tell you what you need to do when you receive the offer letter or what other things to do to complete the enrollment. The briefing is pretty important though it's abit boring.

At the same time, students from the SIM-RMIT Student Council will promote their freshman orientation camp. My advice would be to sign up for it. Reason being, for RMIT, assignments are usually project based (in groups of 5-6). And let's be honest, we wouldn't be able to make friends right before school starts or shortly (within 2-3 weeks) after school start. Because trust me, you will need to find a group by Week 4's lesson.

Camp fee was $30 and basically it covers everything, you need not worry.
Fees are non-refundable and usually would be held outside school.

You will be grouped according to your majors like for example I'm from Marketing (1.5 years) so everyone in my Orientation Group (OG) would be from Marketing (1.5 years). However, do note that not everyone has the same module exempted! So you might or might not be taking the same modules in the same semester. However, you guys can work it out to see if you wanna take the same class etc so that you can be in the same project group. [I'll explain this again]

Also, since it's gonna be your last chance to take part in an orientation camp in your life,
why not just have fun & make new friends :)

17th June
I received the offer letter for both courses that I've applied.
Do take note of the exemptions should you have prior studies like a diploma etc.
Different courses applied for might receive different exemptions even if both are business courses.
Accept the offer letter & wait for SIM to email you your log in details.

21st June
Received SIMConnect log-in details and other emails/school WIFI information etc.

22nd June
Received RMIT student portal details.
Yes, SIM & RMIT have separate portals.

Apparently I did heard that some students did receive an offer letter before the enrollment briefing.
Therefore, what you get might be different from others.

After enrollment, I guess everything will flow naturally & you need not worry so much since there will be email updates from the school. You'll probably have a friend or senior or someone to ask for help. Else you may call the school and the recruitment staff will be able to help for sure.
