Day 1
1030 - Scaling & Polishing before Dr. Cheng placed the braces on
1100 - Braces were up
I was given bite blocks/bite turbos which are dental cement that prevents the upper jaw from touching the lower brackets.
This is the color chart at the clinic.
I chose Lavender for my first month.
But they definitely look lighter than on the chart.

1300 - Lunch: Chicken Soup Maggie with Egg
Couldn't bite so I just had small spoonfuls, swallowed.
1400 - Soreness kicked in
Throughout the day, the molars with the bite turbos were hurting so bad as they felt pretty sensitive.
Dinner: Porridge with Chicken Cubes
Still couldn't bite, swallowed as well.
Day 2
The bite turbos are not so sensitive but they still hurt.
Couldn't bite properly as teeth are not touching together, except the molars with the bite turbos.
Breakfast: Bread with Egg Custard
Bread felt a little tough on the front teeth, not a wise choice.
Lunch: Seafood Kuey Tiao Soup
There were prawns and vegetables but can't even chew on the leaf. Prawns were hard to chew too so I tried to chew abit before swallowing most of it. Chewing of fish cake was almost impossible.
Dinner: Chicken porridge (barely chew the small chicken cubes), chee cheong fun & steamed carrot cake.
Day 3
Bites still feeling sensitive but better.
Breakfast: Kaya Bread (Bad choice as it was tough and dry)
Lunch: Ramen
Dinner: Beehoon with Toufu, Egg, Carrots & Scallop
Day 4
Breakfast: Mash Potatoe
Lunch: Cream Spaghetti
Dinner: same as Day 3
Day 5
Breakfast: Bread with Egg Custard
Lunch: Rice with Wintermelon Soup, Hard Boil Egg & Cabbage (Cooked till soft)
Snack: Butter Cookies (Broken into smaller pieces)
Dinner: Oyster Mee Sua with Oysters
Supper: Soy Bean Milk
Today, I could finally bite and chew on soft vegetables.
Also had a bit of fried egg and rice for dinner.
Day 6
Breakfast: Scramble Eggs with Ham
Lunch: Wanton Noodles
Dinner: Steamboat
Finally after so many days, I can eat soft meat!
Front teeth are still weak but at least I can cut my noodles.
Soft meat are fine, shabu beef had to be cut first..
Bigger pieces of meat tend to feel more tough still?
But all is well ☺
Day 7
Went to JB with my parents and I could finally eat as per normal!
(Well, close enough)
Breakfast sorta: Vitasoy
Brunch: Duck Noodles and Char Siew (Which were a little tough)
Late Lunch:
Xiao Long Bao (Front tooth were alittle sticky),
Fried Rice (All good) &
Fried Salted Egg Prawns (A little hard to bite with fried stuff but good progress)
Dinner: Similar to Day 6 as there were leftovers :X
Snack: 九層糕, Honey Aloe Vera Drink (Both not advisable)
